@cabal As for the paranoia issue: You yourself are the one who posted suggesting that if SOPA passes, you'd be dragged out of your house by a SWAT team in the dead of night. That IS paranoia. One could also aruge that reading my previous post and coming to the conclusion that it was /intended/ to patronise is also a mark of paranoia. You editorialise every issue you have an opinion on extremely strongly, leading to a chicken little/boy who cried wolf scenario whereby you may well be talking about something incredibly important (IE: Free Speech) but the manner in which you are talking about it puts people off.

I think that one little diatribe I wrote has become the single most favorited notice on RDN. I'm glad for that, since it was some of the best writing I'd ever done, and a little sad because It's gonna be hard to top it. Not to mention outside RDN, almost no one knows my name, so at the July BroNYCon, if I hope to address Lauren Faust, no one will know who I am, so it'll just seem like I'm speaking for myself, and not the pony/brony community

@abigpony If we want one, we need to actually comission someone proper. It's such a large, complex and above all LONG project, if we ever want to see one complete, we're gonna need to put up some financial incentive.

@abigpony I don't want to get into the merits of the argument or the authors issues with paypal specifically, but the argument persuaded the other users of this site, which is where the rift between you and the people who were offended by you lies. FWIW, I escalated the posts that got you banned to an administrator for their verdict, rather than getting involved myself at the time, as I considered myself too emotionally involved to make a good decision.
