    @l1ghtsword Well. 4 AAAs. 1.5V each. That's 6 volts. Meaning it's probably designed for anywhere between 4V and 6V. I have a lab PSU with a 5V rail. Done.

    @ceruleanspark no. I'm peeking inside a remote controlled lamp adapter thingy. And it seems that by "No user serviceable parts", they mean "everything inside is on a single sided circuit board and can be replaced using a soldering iron"
