The original Silent Hill is one of my favorite video games of all time, so I am a bit disappointed that we're choosing to continue pretending it doesn't exist, but that Silent Hill 2 remake looks cool

Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022: Still a Fluffle Puff to get working at the highest settings, my 3070 can do it at 1440p60fps but only with raytracing off and any time the game tries to load a new area the framerate dips into the teens for a few seconds, but they fixed all the game breaking bugs it seems. A lot of the goofy visual bugs remain though, which is a shame because it's otherwise one of the best-looking games I've ever played. And the multiplayer, the promised DLC campaign, etc still aren't here yet... and they've already announced a sequel for some reason.

As somebody who's suffered with body dysmorphia my entire adult life, it's incredibly disheartening to see that the response to Dream's face reveal was met with a sea of very personal insults about his looks from a bunch of so-called "woke" people, who then proceeded to use the (from what i can find, purely speculative because he's white, lives in Florida, and has a toxic fanbase) allegations that he's racist to justify it. Like, dude, attack him on THAT then, the fact that you seemed not to care until you found a physical trait of his you could attack is incredibly telling about the value you place on someone's looks. I spent a large part of my life hating myself because I wasn't as good-looking as my classmates, which is something I could not control, but was still pointed out to me daily, and seeing all of this is bringing me back to that. It's at the forefront of my mind again, all in the name of dunking on some YouTuber you don't like.

I-66 coming out of Washington had a bunch of construction being done on it tonight which meant I couldn’t get into any of the exits leading home. The result is that I had to drive through the dying rural part of Northern Virginia to get home. Two lanes, one in each direction, on a winding, narrow, wooded road in a “The Hills Have Eyes” looking area, critters everywhere, ominous glimpses of dilapidated ranch-style homes with pickups and Trump 2024 signage, and just when you thought it couldn’t get any spookier, a decapitated deer laying in a pool of its own blood that I had to avoid running over. Jordan Peele couldn’t have depicted a more uncomfortable drive.
