I was going to give up way earlier but the I got an ability that doubled the exp I got from parrying enemy attacks which means you can get stupidly large amounts of exp from the optional triple battles you can do on the island.

I have scientifically deduced that you can get to Level 17 on Destiny Islands in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix on Proud Mode difficulty before trying to level up any further becomes a waste of time. You’re usually Level 40 by the time you beat the game, if you aren’t going for the bonus bosses. I’m nearly halfway to endgame levels and I haven’t even left the tutorial. This is how I spend my nights.
