@scribus I'll use a piece of black cardboard as a backing material like in the attached picture. I did the same with all my framed comics. The picture I want to frame is still being flattened. It has been shipped rolled up, so it'll take some time to straighten. I could make a passepartout but I don't like them as they need to overlap with the picture. I could buy a custom made frame but it costs 2.5 times as much as the closest off-the-shelf model. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875948

I'm annoyed that my local hardware store has not all the different lengths of M3 screws I need. I had to order an assortment box off Amazon. I need those screws for a new mount for my 3d printer hotend and new and quieter fans https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4460970

@scribus Sure! It'll save me a trip to the dentist. I was watching Adam Savage's Tool Tip and couldn't resist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWxCvMzvxlQ I wanted a vacuform for quite some time but I'm too lazy building one myself or it was too expensive. 130 Eurobucks I can spend for an all-in-one device that looks solidly built (better than I could do).

The Wii U had good games. Most of them got ports (or superior sequels) on the Switch or other systems. At this point there are only a handful of games exclusive to the Wii U like Zombi U, Starfox Zero and Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875925

That was the result: https://i.imgur.com/Liw0xmu.jpg It was good but I used a tad bit too much of olive oil in the dough.

@scribus Yeah. I took the image from https://www.artstation.com/artwork/361zm , removed the bottom half of the picture, AI upscaled it with http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ and enhanced the colors to match the other portraits of the other players that are used for the character tokens in Roll20.

@scribus I get what you mean. I just wanted a slightly female-coded (to my monkey brain) lizard-woman that doesn't scream "look at my bewbs" or appears to be sexualized. The attached image is the one I will use as it is currently the closest to what I'm imagining for a female lizardfolk druid potion brewer. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875898

Practical 3d printing: I repaired my clamp (left 3d-printed, right original). I don't want to test how much force the 3d-printed part can withstand. At least the broken clamp can be used to hold something with light force. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875791

@scribus In Germany most bakeries offer them, besides other baked sweets like pudding filled puff pastry and "sugar cake" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterkuchen ) and "bee sting cake" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bienenstich ) and crumb cake ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streuselkuchen ).

@scribus This is a pretty good representation of how they look like https://www.oma-kocht.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/amerikaner-backen-rezept-hirschhornsalz-e1571326776705.jpg

I haven't eaten an "Amerikaner" for a long time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_and_white_cookie Here it's mostly sold with only white glazing.

This is the most interesting read this year as the vaccine is compared to a biological hacking attempt, like a computer. https://berthub.eu/articles/posts/reverse-engineering-source-code-of-the-biontech-pfizer-vaccine/

Prepared the calendar for printout. My mother still uses a physical calendar for everything. She wants a month view with as big boxes for each day as possible to write in. Also Monday as the first day, and Saturday and Sunday in red. All commercial calendars do not support her needs. Luckily this exists https://texample.net/tikz/examples/birthday-calendar/ With some adjustments I could customize it enough to make her happy.

It depresses me that there are less and less new PC cases with space for optical drives (CD/DVD/BluRay). I'm starting to look around for a new PC. As my PC is older and my case has only USB2 ports and an unreliable headphone jack, as well as showing wear I want a new one. My current case is from Cooler Master from 2006. This one in black/silver https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/B0009SZQY8.2.jpg

Oooh. A potential vaccine was developed (German news site https://www.tagesschau.de/inland/biontech-corona-impfstoff-103.html ). It needs two injections 3 weeks apart. A week after the second injection an immunity to COVID is expected. I hope it is not a fluke.

I've missed somehow this piece of news https://bleedingcool.com/tv/paper-girls-sets-march-2021-for-filming-open-casting-call-released/ I read the Paper Girls comic and it's cool that it gets adapted to a TV show. I'm just worried that it will be as lengthy as the comic. At points the plot was very drawn out. I liked the whole series nonetheless.

The game jam rankings are published https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/vaguely-named-horse-game Not too bad from 3206 entries. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875651

@scribus Then it's probably more of interest for you to use a stinking normal FDM 3D printer, printing a model with PLA plastic, putting it in a clay mold, burning the PLA out of the mold, and then pour your metal in the cavity. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkEYj8wtK3aEW8vSGhlB43g

I'm somewhat unhappy with Unity's HTML5 WebGL export. I have exported my game jam game https://adiwan.itch.io/lasso-loop-whiplash-webgl and it has ugly z-fighting and weird lighting issues at some overlapping geometry. I looked into everything I could, like adjusting the far and near plane or all shadow and lighting settings. I'm stumped. The compiled versions are fine.

My first solo game jam game (not finished yet). You're a horse and your objective is to fling the human, who has you rudely caught with a lasso, into objects. https://twitter.com/Adiwan_/status/1312734169185816576
