@baglesman Yeah, it's pretty awful that there are so many restrictions on something that's designed (or at least should be designed) to help people achieve whatever they want in life. To have to deal with all that stuff before you're even two decades old is pretty bananaed up, and in a lot of cases I don't feel like it'd even be worth it. like I'd wanna do something in the vast spectrum of creative arts where if anything it's a little ironic having people say "do what you want, except not like that, and also do it in three months to this criteria"

@nerthos Yeah I haven't played DS2 since around the time it came out (which was over 2 years ago) whereas I've revisited DS1 and Demon's Souls more recently, so I have stronger recollections of those games.

@mushi I would hardly consider myself someone like myself very good at games, but I think the Souls games (to varying degrees) have a good economy of difficulty. They're often misunderstood as simply being excruciatingly hard and unfair, but it's more so that patience and observation are compulsory to grow and succeed. They're well designed games.

@redenchilada even worse when you're a woman but they only do "women's" sizes and literally don't go up to a size that fits you (hence the scare quotes)

@bitshift I mean yeah in my case that's because of reasons nobody really feels a need to account for, but there's straight up cis women who fall outside of that range too
