Vgp! Calgary! I'm so excited for the new pokemon game. And it's release date is only a few nights difference from my birthday also. If nobody gets me it, I might get the special edition one with the unique gameboy. Mine is starting to die anyways.

@randomwonderbolt Origin is EA's attempt at a service like Steam where it manages your digital games and you can launch them from it. It allows you to redeem codes for games. I have a code for Origin for the Sims 3 and 2 expansions.

!calgarybronies Hey all so good news! For those of you who've been with the group for a while know that every year we've had a group BBQ and everything is all lined up now for this year as well. First off my apologies, I do like to give more notice but it took a little longer to book things with many sites being closed due to flooding, but anyway... This year the BBQ will be at Edworthy Park at picnic site 6, from 11-3pm on Sunday September 15th. I'm going to be posting some more details about this later (tomorrow) and put it on the blog. Also I would like some helpers to set things up so if you're interested in coming early let me know. Lastly it would be great if you would like to support this event, and future group events by donating to the group funds. Donations can be made to Darcy at the meetup this weekend and go to covering event costs and funding future ones :)

I think someone should make a video game. A perfectly normal game, any genre. A solid plot, fun mechanics, a solid and entertaining game. And everyone except the main protagonist is Quentin Tarantino. All the NPCs, men, women, and children. Good guys, bad guys, final boss - all of them Quentin Tarantino. Even the animals. Dog Quentin Tarantino, cat Quentin Tarantino, even Quentin Tarantino the Man in the Moon. No reason why. No even acknowledging it. Just an entire world of Quentin Tarantino and You. !vgp

So there's squeestorm going on here because the official My Little Pony page is using/possibly stole a background from Fighting is Magic (the game that stole Hasbro's IP and was consequently shut down). People are saying that Hasbro is now the thief and obviously still upset about Fighting is Magic's shut-down. Some are wondering whether this is a sign that Hasbro has come around and is now cooperating with the team that made Fighting is Magic (Mane6). @pony @ceruleanspark a better comparison might be that Hasbro's marketing team gets paid to reuse the same tired vectors for things, so why shouldn't a fan artist be compensated?

of course, I think what happened on FB is likely just a lazy mistake like I said. I don't think the artist deserves compensation in this case unless they continue to infringe.

What makes Silent Hill for PS1 so scary? Is it the grungy type of music? Perhaps the dark murky pixally shadows that has a low draw distance? Unresposive/sluggish controls? Or if not the above it has to be the camera that doesn't give a buck if it is letting you see what is coming to eat your face off or not. !vgp
