@noelnarwhal Ooo, that must get a rise out of a lot of people. Abstract art is pretty divisive and people tend to be on either the "That's stupid, anyone can do that. It's just a (x)!" side, or the "You're just a lesser being who can't understand the true complexity of this piece" side.

@lvbot Usually, yeah. Because abstract art is functionally, well... abstract, it's kinda difficult to formally evaluate based on visceral engagement. So people will either scoff at it or just scoff at people who scoff at it. It's also why I do it for myself and my own love of art first and foremost.

@thesidekick It was a requirement for my course so I made do, but I've actually been really liking it. It's a really well optimized machine and I feel really comfortable using it. It's not great for games with lots of hi-res textures and effects because it only has integrated graphics, but its RAM and processing power are both fairly solid for a computer in its range.

@noelnarwhal I believe it, though I'm glad to have a desktop over a laptop now. Just having the ability to upgrade it or replace parts without having to get a new one all together if something small breaks is something I'm glad to have after dealing with nothing but laptops for the last ten years.

@thesidekick That is pretty convenient, and I could see myself getting a desktop in the future if I have the money for one. Though for the time being I'm enjoying the accessibility and portability of my laptop.
