New to the series as well as the community, I thought it was a bit silly at first, but the way this fandom has grown has really intrigued me.
I've never been part of a social network before, so this is new to me.

@nvrrmbr Pretty much. They're nice sheep, though. Fun to talk to if only briefly. There are only a few people I here I really know, though, which is a shame as I don't have much to do on my own.

At #GenCon right now. Saw a couple of people with "brony" T-shirts and just said hi to them. I wore my custom Rarity shirt on the first day. I also saw a Fluttershy cosplayer on the first day and met a girl wearing an MLP backpack. Kind of cool, I guess. Too much to ask if anyone else reading is here?

@derpy Well other clients are okay too. iirsi and xchat are good I've heard. I just have a prejudice against mIRC and mibbit users. :p

@derpy Pretty much. Brain bleach stuff does come across occasionally, but it's still the nicest and friendliest channel I've been too. It also has a ridiculous amount of lurkers for some reason. And a lot of people write, discuss, and edit each other's fanfics there.

@derpy I'd recommend at least grabbing an IRC client and getting on #mylittlepony !irchighway It's a lot easier to chat there and they're probably my favorite members of the fandom. Really chill place where you can talk about anything.

@derpy If you want to you could come to !irchighway where I'm much more active or you're free to ask for IM information as I'm willing to talk to most people. I'm a bit more morbid outside of the "can't swear or hurt feelings" box, though.

@zachariastargazer Have you ever even experienced and IRL relationship? If not how would you know? I know saying this kind of stuff to one's "love" really gets to people, but you really just have to suck it up and realize how many different people are out there and how many different positions you could be in. Things will probably turn out better in the end. They always do. Unless you force them not to. Or end everything yourself. Those are the only times things don't work out.

@zachariastargazer Did you guys ever meet IRL? If it was an internet relationship and you can still talk to each other nothing has really changed. Just don't waste your time sending dirty things to each other anymore.
