@greydragon412 *ahem* if there is a fence that all religious clubs to be on one side of, I was a part of that side. Then I realized I was ignorant because all I knew was one side, and kept being told there is no other side to a fence, which of course is illogical because a fence divides a section in two to keep things or people apart. I hopped the fence and learned how people build these fences to separate us and create judgment. One of the many logical fallacies that prompted me to make the jump was "God makes us > God doesn't make mistakes > God makes people homosexual > human bible says it's a choice and a sin." The other thing that quite irked me was the social irresponsibility of it all: the bible encourages you to be content with those above you supposedly going to hell, but if they're below you you should subjugate them and force them to make the choices you want (and if you can't, fall into complacency and just feel sorry for them). The biggest concern I had (cont'd nxt notice)

@greydragon412 biggest concern I had was that I was not allowing myself to mature because I kept looking up to someone or something to solve my problems and give me peace of mind. It made me escapist and complacent, made me fatalist, made me refuse to do my part in helping myself. Because in a time I believed in prayer I would pray instead of act. When I saw evil that should be stopped I told myself we couldn't do anything but they'll just go to hell. And the worst, whenever I was depressed I kept reassuring myself God made me for a reason, so I waited for a reason to make itself known instead of trying to forge myself as a man. It's been difficult to undo twenty-some years of being taught to live like this, but I'm getting help from some people to become a more mature and responsible person who will do the right thing because its right and not subjugate others with my opinions.
