@aleister If you want to follow a notice back into its conversation tree, you can click the "in context" link to view the entire conversation tree. This makes it easy to follow multiple conversations at once involving the same people. You can also hover over the link, and if the notice shows up elsewhere on the page, it'll show you that notice above the one you're reading for convenience purposes. You can also use #tags to post about something interesting, or join a group for people with similar interests (which you post to like you would post to a tag page, except replacing the # with a !, like !groupname). The rules are linked in the upper-left corner of the page next to the link for the staff list (if you've got things to do, you can just look at the main bullet points of the rules and be well-informed enough; the expanded information is just to clarify things). Enjoy the site!

$config['group']['maxaliases'] = 99999; //I'm going to set !groupname to have every conceivable group name as an alias now kthxbye

@ceruleanspark I'm disappointed. I thought you had changed !groupname or something.
-
@5ofclubs Generally, if you want to talk about a specific subject, groups are good for that. You can make or search for a group to join, and then post to it using the !groupname format (or just go to the group's page). These posts will also go to Public to get extra attention from people outside the group.

It's funny because even when I did it here with a bunch of programmer nerds on they couldn't find a simple RLO control character @redenchilada #banned !groupname #whee
-
#belatednewyearsresolutions I resolve to use groups more. !enchiladacest !groupname !commoncourtesycrusaders
-
@sweetiebot To post to a group page, use their identifier (like !groupname). And remember that everything goes to Public regardless; some people forget that and post sensitive information out in the open.
-
I'm surprised !groupname's page design isn't being changed ALL THE TIME.

I fixed !groupname's design.
-
@cheesydeth Are you sure? It works for me. !groupname
-
@bronymedic If you were trying to post that to a group, you have to put the !groupname in your post. Like !bronylon. By the way, welcome!
-
@sterlingstripe Ok, the abridged FAQ: hug _everyone_, turn off email notifications (at least for replies) ASAP, Scootaloo is best filly, and if I say someone's banned for no reason, I'm joking. Also post to groups like !groupname, use the reply button instead of just typing @username, and install RDN Refresh/Mint Refresh for the optimal browsing experience.
-
!groupname @redenchilada #randomtag trust me there is a good reason for this post

@tjdetweiler Type !groupname anywhere on your post, groupname being the name of the group you wish to post to.
-
@calgarybronycon Just stick !groupname anywhere in your post.
-
I just realized I haven't been keeping up with my duties on !groupname. Sorry, all the recent memebers are now group administrators like they should be.
-
@scribusthehomicidalmaniac And !groupname and !icanjuggleknifes (which needs the typo fixed)!
