I'm playing it and enjoying it. I'll probably get a good 48+ hours out of it, meaning I will have paid about $1/hour for the entertainment, which to me is a good deal. I play with buddies and it's hard enough to require teamwork but not so hard as to get frustrating.

@orobouros It's 60 Euro here. And 40 more for the season pass which they shout from the rooftops is a requirement. When I eventually decide that my job and life are stable enough that I can play it, it is hopefully discounted some, I'll ring you up when I get it :)

I must have done something wrong. No season pass, I'm just playing through the game. I haven't hit level cap, yet, though, so we'll see. For US$50 it's been pretty fun.

@nerthos I haven't fired a G36. The civilian variants (SL8-1) aren't particularly common on the US market, and it can cost thousands more to convert it closer to the civilian configuration.

@m14brony Well, yeah, but if you cherrypick your criteria then any firearm is a potential "best in class" firearm. Therefor the "one size fits all" is a swasher, not the other way around. Also your current environment matters a lot. I mean I am not taking a Diemaco, G36E, or Steyr Aug A3 to the desert when I can take an AK47. Or an AK74 for that matter. Reliability becomes the most important thing when you're in a desert storm with sand as fine as flour

I know SOME OF YOU believe that it's impossible to think video games are pretentious and that anyone who think so just isn't smart enough to "get" the game, but Life is Strange is actually super duper pretentious.

@mrmattimation I know we do not see eye to eye on many things, but not even taking into account the ending the game by itself suffers a whole lot from pretentiousness. But then again that is true for way many more games, it has a whole lot to do with how you yourself are on the perceiving end of the spectrum. Take Loot-hoarding games for example, like Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2. Or pretty much any game by EA of the past few years, WATCH_DOGS and Tom Clancy's The Division. Some have gotten there by attempting to impress me with more, and then doublebacktaking as soon as it turns out that the consoles this generation are weaker than anticipated, or offering me a HARD game and then within 24 hours I am playing it while watching TV because it has become a repetative drag. My point is "eye of the beholder", and since Marketing teams everywhere now have like half the developmental budget, all AAA games seem halfway pretentious to me... *sigh*
