@onixus running through the app in as many different ways as possible, running the same data on known systems and comparing, checking all the points where the app interacts with other systems to make sure the right data goes through between them. Plus planning and developing tests, adjusting tests based on changes to the code, exploring defects and helping analyse them, and typical office stuff like meetings.

@onixus thankfully this checking is only a small part of the job and only happens for big updates and new programs, but its the small part I'm doing at the moment

@nightwillow take a look at rainbow dash.net and imagine going through every single possible page and checking every line of text, icon, formatting and position to make sure they all match the design plans, and having to full out a report for every single error, no matter how minor

@onixus me too, but I prefer this to not having a job or getting stuck in a call centre :)

@nightwillow sure I do :) but I also have to check each and every piece of text in the app to make sure there are no mistakes, and that's rather mindnumbing ^^;

@onixus software testing, which can be interesting at timed but the current project is rather repetitive. Although it does mean a pic like my current avatar fits an officemare like me :)
