just to remind you, the soldier shot was an honour guard for a war memorial. he had a gun, but it was unloaded. it shouldn't have been loaded. he was there to honour those who died in the wars, not to actively protect things.

I'm of the personal opinion that nobody should have guns except those who need them for survival (like those who hunt to survive) and the police. If you want to defend yourself, learn to use a knife or martial arts. of course, that's my PERSONAL opinion which won't change any time soon.

@righteousnarwhal ... less guns. for the criminals. dude. this is Canada. we already don't all have guns. hell, I've never seen or know personally a single person in Canada who owns one, other than police. A clampdown on guns would only affect tthose who shouldn't have them; normal people simply don't own one.

@righteousnarwhal Doesn't make it stupid, it makes it harder for them to get guns. period. it's not like its a right for people to have guns. Those who really want to get a gun will still be able to get one, but it will be harder all tthe same, therefore decreasing the amount of shootings.
