Also every Dragon Engine game is capable of importing anims from every other DE game except Virtua Fighter 5 (for somewhat obvious reasons) and Gaiden. Even Infinite Wealth, from which Gaiden’s engine was forked, can’t open Gaiden animations, you have to use a tool to convert it first.

Dragon Engine is crazy. Game refuses to boot if a texture is missing but lose track of a tops model and the game boots fine and lets you walk around as a disembodied head.

Virtua Fighter 5 REVO is seemingly a modded copy of Yakuza: Like A Dragon that is hardcoded to load you straight into the VF5 minigame… which means I can’t easily extract any of the animations to use for my mod. Everything in the motion archive is battle animations from YLAD, with most of the actual VF5 files being stored in a separate archive and using a different format that none of the available tools can open.

Ported some of Haruka's moves to Lost Judgment just to see if they would even work outside of the controlled environment of a turn based RPG. Results were mixed. The custom basic attack I made works surprisingly well as a Light-Heavy-Heavy combo, but the first heavy juggles which causes the second heavy to miss half the time unless you're timing it exactly right. The solution to that is to make the first heavy not juggle but that seems not as fun.

I just realized Haruka’s head is like 30% larger than other women in Infinite Wealth and that’s why a lot of the headwear doesn’t fit here. What the FrankerZ

I had a dream last night that I was playing Pirate Yakuza and that it came with a short side game, which was an experimental stealth/puzzle/platformer starring Haruka in a Tomb Raider-esque setting and now I’m mad that I’m not playing that

The fact that 9/11 happened in the Marvel universe is crazy, because there are a hundred super heroes in New York, and like, “why didn’t they stop it” is such an easy joke, but that might be the least crazy thing about it. The crazier part is that Osama bin Laden would have looked at this city that had a hundred super heroes and went “yeah we can probably take out a building with some box cutters and basic flight training”

Anyway, I’m fixing outfits now. For Kaito it’s relatively simple, I just need to adjust some hats to fit his hair, for Haruka it’s a bit more involved since she uses a unique armature to accommodate her ponytail. …I also have to put socks on every outfit. Because whoever designed Chitose gave her hyper detailed bare feet in place of socks on every outfit. Not a joke.
