  1. Aw man. I fixed my rear bicycle tire half a year ago. It has a flat again. I assume that a loose spoke was poking too much and created a hole in the tube. Good that I bought a tool to tighten spokes. Also good that I have a spare bicycle for exactly these situations.

  2. Usually people have heaps of dirty clothes. I have a heap of clean clothes. I finally folded 2 months worth of T-shirts. The funny thing is that I could go on for two more months and I still got folded T-shirts in my clothes cabinet to take out of.

  3. Luckily the weather is windy enough that all that sulfur was blown away and I don't choke while breathing.

  7. Ah... Great... Forgot that the next days the air will smell horrible like farts and eggs and it will be a ordeal to breathe. I can forget to think about airing my apartment. I rather smell my own farts than the horribleness that will come from the outside.

  9. Maybe it's because of my current state of mind but the Willow series up to now was not very engaging. It's somewhat forgettable.

  10. I'm totally peeved-off. They sell fireworks again in Germany. I liked that the previous years didn't allow selling new fireworks. I had to buy some groceries and the stupid-ass idiots filled up their carts as if there was no inflation and had to compensate for the last years. I hate it. I hate how the next months will be littered with all that trash and the next few days are going to smell like farts. Days before New Year's those idiots have to use those fireworks. It's illegal to light up fireworks before New Year's but I never saw someone fined ever.

  11. After manual verification I definitely cycled more than 1000km. My current estimate is 1060km. Due to low accuracy GPS the distances were not quite right and Google sloppily added all up.

  12. If I'm not mistaken then I think I've cycled about 950km this year.

  13. @scribus BUT I WANT POINTLESS THINGS!!!! I would really appreciate a pair of high refresh rate and variable refresh rate and color accurate 1080p monitors.

  14. And my replacement monitor arrived today. There is a spot where a little dust is between the screen and the LCD but it's still better than a non-working one. I really need a 3rd monitor for my workflow. One monitor for email/chat, the second monitor for browsing, the third monitor for coding.

  15. My 15 year old monitor died yesterday. It "displays" something. Backlight works but the fault is somewhere on the mainboard between the actual screen and the end of image processing. The display cannot even show the OSD properly. As it appears it will be covered by black lines and then it turns into a bright pillar from top to bottom (where the text would be). I just won an auction on ebay for a cheap replacement monitor of the same model. Why? It's 16:10 IPS, has tons of inputs, and it was cheap. 45€ with shipping. Also I cannot afford a brand-spanking-new one.

  16. I just ordered a bunch of "Tails of Equestria" books. I don't intend to play it but I want to use the books as source of inspiration for when I'm the DM in my D&D group. I'm bad at creating good adventures as I over-complicate things. My hope is that these are simple enough to adapt to D&D, especially in the social encounter department.

  17. Willow is a cult classic but I'm one hour in and it still does not invoke any engagement in me. It's bordering between "boring" and "just fine".

  19. @scribus Yeah. Even with an electric razor it's not very feasible to shave every day because of skin irritation. Honestly I rather prefer not to have a beard at all and would want a permanent hair follicle removal but the risk of scarring my skin on the face is too high.

  20. My D&D group starts planning the next campaign. Next campaign will be a dimension-hopping adventure combined with a TV-style Power-Ranger-eque plot structure whereas a multiversal evil is plotting something evil and our group works for an unquestionable force for good. We rotate the DM duty and I think that on my turn at the levels I will make an adventure in a dimension that is inhabited by unicorns and horses that is threatened by a centaur wizard.

  21. I'm doing an anti-"No Shave November". Usually I shave myself every two weeks but this month I try to shave daily or every other day. My verdict so far: Daily shaving is not worth it as my beard grows so fast that I can feel the stubbles after an hour after the shave. Waxing my face is not an option.

  25. "Those lazy, lazy leaves"! I was taking the scenic route from shopping through the park and there I slid in a corner and fell. I lost all tyre grip because a brown and slimy moist pile of leaves in the curve acted like it's the best replacement for grease in that moment. Luckily there was not much damage. My pants got dirty, a scratch on my knee, and the side of my pedal was heavily scratched.

  28. I'm giving Elon Musk a few weeks to crash Tesla, Starlink and Space X to the ground. The Boring Company is kinda the first victim to his insanity (hyperloop and the ridiculous tunnel in Vegas). Starlink is not very well either after his generous offer and then hostage situation. It takes one mad man to create an empire and the same mad man to destroy it even quicker.
