I bought some cheap wooden spatulas and created some different shapes with my bandsaw in order to enhance them. I don't want to use anything metallic with my Teflon coated pans. The default shape is too rectangular for scraping the walls of the pan. It doesn't get very well into the rounded corner. So far I'm quite satisfied with the results. Even when not, each spatula was only 1.50€.

Today is Father's Day in Germany. As usual drunk men are roaming the streets. Today I saw two guys on one e-scooter driving on the bike path. They hit the curb and almost face-planted.

I'm Potato Knishesed. I was doing my taxes. Or I let others do it for me. I have to pay MORE taxes and don't get any money back. There is a home office tax thing where I would get 5€ back for every day in home office BUT I don't get any of that because my expenses were too low. WTF

Hmmmm.... New bicycle chain.... Changing took longer than I want to admit. I needed to shorten the chain and tried to re-insert the pin to connect both ends. The new chain came with its own special link to connect both ends. At the beginning I wanted to try without it but after one hour of an exhausting ordeal to align and push in the pin into the link, I gave up and used the special connection link.
My old chain was borderline at the end of its lifespan and started to grind the sprockets. Now cycling is a little bit smoother and less noisy. Maybe I find some use for the old one for an interesting project.

Oh man. Amphibia is over. The last half felt very rushed and needed a season of its own. The last episode has also things from the left field because of the rush.

Avatar is the least-exciting hyped movie I can remember. Everybody praises the 3D viewing experience but I think the use of 3D is only so good because all other 3D movies did it wrong in a way or another. Story-wise it's a dud in my opinion. The plot is as transparent as the main protagonist is flat and uninteresting.

It was an ordeal to fix my Shimano sg-c6000-8c hub gearing on my bike without any prior knowledge how they work. I had to read the manual to get it installed again, after changing the inner tube of the wheel. The instructions weren't as clear as I hoped. First it was flipped in the manual the other way around as I had on the ground (my bike was standing on the saddle and the steering), and it has referred to colored dots to align but the illustration was in black-and-white.

I don't think I have any interest in watching any Star Trek Picard episode in the future, not even out of morbid curiosity. I already expended any curiosity with the second season. It was a magnesium and phosphor dumpster fire with a barrel of fluorine and a pressurized bottle of oxygen.

Recommend drinking a mix of passion fruit juice with cola. Maybe not a 50:50 mix I just made. Probably a 33 passion fruit : 66 cola mix is better.

Finally bought myself a proper hot glue gun. I don't want to live with the Potato Knishesty dollar bin garbage that needs 20 minutes to heat up and when it's heat up the glue still is not hot enough, and the glue stick has to be manually pushed into the melt zone, as it lacks a trigger. I don't need a hot glue gun often, maybe twice a year but when I do it was always a chore and not fun at all.

I'm building a vertical laptop stand for my laptop for work with its USB-C docking station. This is an image after being freshly varnished. It is made of cheap pine tree wood and then stained. After the varnish hardens I put some felt in the top holder. I test-fitted it and it looks sturdy enough. Due to measuring and construction intolerance I left more space than needed but I can pad it out with enough felt to make it a snug fit. Welp... I bought a "cheap" 1000 card MTG collection for 20 bucks off eBay. The seller says there are mostly common and uncommon and a couple of rares in there. Still cheaper than chilling out the amount of money to buy the same amount of cards with boosters.

I helped a friend doing some minor renovation of his home. He has gifted me a Magic The Gathering Commander deck. Never played MTG before. I'm vaguely familiar with how it is payed.

Got today my first scammer on my company phone. They spoofed a local phone number (probably a SIP gate) and called probably from India, as the caller had an Indian accent and spoke English. They said they were from Microsoft and my computer had a "problem". I didn't hesitate very long and hung up. It'd be funny to waste their time but it's also my time too that would have been wasted.
