Gnah.... I broke off the rear window wiper off my car. It was barely hanging as the plastic was as brittle as a wafer.

@scribus Reported for abuse against liquid containers.
-
@scribus Oof... That's hard. At least that was voluntary.

On the night from Thursday to Friday I had to call the police because a drunk person with an empty vodka bottle slept and snored on the staircase about next to my apartment. Probably one of my hate neighbours acquaintances. Then the next two days were extremely noisy and I had to call the police 3 times. In the span of the 3 days I was awake for 44 hours straight.

@scribus Locally here I'd try visiting some artistic craft stores but I guess it'd be of limited success. But they are closed anyway.

I was at the dentist and got a local anesthesia. My mouth feels numb and funny as I regain more and more feeling over the past hours.

@scribus Seal wax is quite the niche product. Maybe there is an online seller. Amazon Germany has a selection of different colors and amounts.
-
@scribus Yeah. A lot of US citizens are very bad about geography (I've heard) so it'll make it quite easy.
-
@scribus Total jerks! They should have shared the money with us!

Maybe I try participating in the lottery. Only 6 numbers out of 49. Only a chance of 1 in 140000000 for winning the jackpot. It's more likely I get killed by a rogue falling coconut or a shark or a lightning bolt.

It snows and rains at the same time. Warm enough for rain, cold enough to snow, the worst of two worlds.

Starting watching Brooklyn Nine Nine. It's the better The Office just for the fact it is not pure cringe and it has Terry Crews.
-
@scribus Haha. It's not often that it hails at my place. But every time my father tells me to drive the car under a bridge because he fears of hail damage. And I tell him that when it starts to hail heavily it's already too late.
-
@scribus Coincidentally it snowed here too but the snow remained and left a 1cm thick layer on my car. And today I had to use the car. Luckily it was already starting to melt so removing it was quick. I'd like to see how you react when 3mm diameter hail falls down from the sky.

I try to win an auction for a cheap PC monitor. I want to put it in my cellar and tape an unused raspberry pi on the back. I want to have a ready-to-go solution for my CNC router. The last times I had to use my laptop. If I won't win the auction it isn't a big deal. I aim 15€ (incl. shipping). The chances are very low but I'm feeling lucky.

@scribus It's also not fun being almost a victim of being run over. I can count about a dozen of events when I or the driver weren't paying attention. 3 were last year from suffering neighbour-induced insomnia.
-
@scribus Due to the lack of projects that I want to make, and a lack of projects in general that involves my interests and expertise, I had to take this to keep me billable to clients. I shudder to the thought as well but it pays even when I get no call.

16 hours until my on call duty ends and thus my week long paranoia. Literally I couldn't poop without having the fear someone calls. At least the paranoia gives me a modest extra more to my bank account.

I just found out that a shop in my city is offering poutine. I always wanted to try poutine even when the offering is not genuine Canadian. The shop offers delivery but in my experience potato fries lose their texture and crispiness very quickly. It's now on my list on things to do when everything gets better.

Fixed my roller blinds with the power of 3d printing. There is a string with plastic beads for moving the blinds up and down. However this string has two ends and the original part that kept the two ends together broke. I 3d modeled a screw, cut it in half, and embedded a negative of the bead string in there. Further I modeled a nut for the screw. With that I could capture the two ends within the screw and the nut holds everything together.

I found my vaccination pass. I really hope it will be needed soon.... I bet I'll be the last person receiving the shot.

Haha. My bandsaw arrived today.

I have on call duty this week. The worst thing is the fear of being called in the middle of the night and then solving the technical emergency remotely. I'm also quite inexperienced with the system which heightens my fears.

Usually I'm not going out but man I'm at the point slowly craving for the freedom of going out and exploring the shops and meeting my friends.

Putting the German Chancellor into office is less pompous and less ceremonial.
