The biggest problem I have with the game is the depth perception that has made me miss quite some platforms. The shadow below Mario is not always readable.

Super Mario 3D World is easy peasy. Finished it within a day. I won't 100% complete it.

@scribus Sort of sad that it happened but it's good that those riot idiots face consequences one way or another.
-
@mrmattimation Oof.

@scribus This is nothing. There was an old ruined police horse school (presumably) in my city ever since I can remember. Two years ago work began building homes there. This place was abandoned for over 50 years I think.
-
Dusted off my bike and put it out of the cellar. Since I have no car I had to *gasp* use my legs. I was at my insurance and doing some paper work. 5 kilometers to, 5 kilometers back.

@scribus The fanservice was the least of my problems with it. The plot is so convoluted it hurts my intelligence. Sentient alien thread accelerates the evolution of humans so they can wear clothes, Then the thread is used to make super-powered magic clothes. Then the bad guys use the thread in normal clothing to enslave/transform humanity while the good guys have also thread on their bodies. Then the master plan is to engulf the earth with the magic thread so to make it pop and burst more thread into the universe. And then the whole school thing and trying to conquer other schools is also the dumbest thing in the series. Where is the military? Where are state officials? It's certainly concerning when there are huge military-grade fights all over the country without any consequences. My suspension of disbelief can handle only a limited amount of BS before it turns against the piece of fiction.
-
Watched "Kill la Kill" and it was awful. Despite positive reviews my experience was not good. It contains huge and obvious plot holes. I can stretch my suspension of disbelief so far. It had some good characters in there but the plot weighted all down like an elephant on a cardboard box.

Practical 3d printing: I repaired my clamp (left 3d-printed, right original). I don't want to test how much force the 3d-printed part can withstand. At least the broken clamp can be used to hold something with light force. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/875791

@ndogmario I just printed a holder for a Dremel rotary tool for my CNC machine. It needs some linear bearings (with steel balls to glide on) and there are holes that fit them. Due to inaccuracies the hole is too small for a pressure fit. I used a drill to carve it a little bit bigger, however I missed some spots. While forcing the bearings with a vise the bearing was compressed within the hole. The tolerances within the bearing are soo tight that this little bit of difference in the radius made a ball pop out.
-
Crushed two linear bearings until the balls popped out. I should have used less force and made the hole a teeny tiny bit bigger.

@scribus Oh. I'm not afraid of the barber scenes. I'm afraid of the rest.

I'm afraid that "Coming 2 America" will suck. The first film is my all-time classic feel good movie. The trailers don't bode well.

@scribus I was too small to remember but my parents said that it was sold soon very soon as it was mostly incompatible with the C64 software library.

The first computer I used was a Commodore Plus/4 and the first I owned was a 286 Compaq Portable III.

My 18th level goliath barbarian wields now a gatling gun. We rotate DMs and thia time we were on a steampunk/dieselpunk dimension. As an enemy with a gatling gun died my barbarian ripped it off the turret and my first attack roll was a crit. 24d8 + 1 that resulted in 120 damage (usually 12d8 + dex).

@scribus I guess it's an eldrich and cursed Bingo card that slowly merges all squares into one.
-
@scribus And I bought all the parts for repairing my rear window wipers. The car has a completely full tank. Luckily there aren`t any expensive or personal objects in there. I have contacted my insurance and I was at the police. I hope I get a good cash out for the car to buy a new used one.
-
@scribus That was only an expression of dark humor. Obviously I don`t want that but 2020 is trying to catch up with me.
-
Great! My car was stolen. A serious medical emergency and I get a BINGO on my Bingo card.

@scribus You can try Irish Road Bowling or also known in other regions as Klootshießen, Klootsheeten, (Straßen-)Boßeln, or Boccetta su Strada. Make the world your bowling alley!

I haven't seen Doctor Who in a long while. Capaldi's second season gave me the rest early on. The first one was a slog as the ones before but that gave me a the confidence to let the series go and let it rot in the garbage of their own making. The stories were as unsatisfying as getting one's teeth pulled out without narcotics.

Valentine's day is again soon. How about we abolish Valentine's day and replace it with the Sonic Movie Anniversary.

I want to buy a simple adapter for 1/4'' shaft bits for my Dremel rotary tool that can only hold 1/8'' shafts. I want to mod my cheapo CNC router and replace its puny motor with a Dremel rotary tool. With this change It has more power and has higher rotation speeds. Cutting acrylics and aluminium would then be feasible. An adapter for 1/4'' tools would be nice as I have some.
