  1. @scribus He has a memory of a goldfish and an ego as big as Jupiter. His stubbornness and rabid followers will pull him back. Presidency two: electric vote-a-loo. The Fluffle Puff show will repeat again. As much as I have no wish for that I am emotionally preparing it as soon as possible.

  2. @scribus I put my Cassandra mask on and I'll say it's not over yet: Trump will attempt it again in the next election.

  5. Just watched a video about voting in the US and its massive waiting queues at the voting places. I've never had to wait more than 3 minutes.

  13. On social media I see quite some vilifying posts towards Trump supporters. Exactly such extreme behaviour only makes the situation worse and reduces all kinds of communication and understanding, which alienates both sides even further.

  21. I'm toying with the idea getting a Radeon GPU the next time I upgrade, since the ATI Radeon 8500LE. The fact that the announced Radeon cards have more VRAM is appealing to me. Or I wait until any nVidia board partner releases a card with 16GB VRAM (other than the 3090).

  22. For the first time in this year (it seems so to me) my neighbour below me has left their apartment and stay over elsewhere. A few hours ago I've seen them going into a taxi. Oh sweet release (for the moment). And it's on a weekend! Usually it's a pandemonium on the weekend and leading into it.

  23. I love when spammers make it easy to decide which services not to use, ever. Despite having a "No Advertisements" sticker on my mail box I get occasionally ads from restaurants. They immediately go on my "I'll never buy there" list.

  24. @oracle My upgrades aren't peachy either. Often I have to manually handle a less than fortunate set of dependencies due to conflicts or just unavailable packages. I don't mind that as I make a little game out of it and the frequency of those problems is not that bad. Strangely most of the time samba and python are the cause of an issue.

  25. @oracle I'm crazy with my "rolling release" Debian Experimental. Any time used *buntu and dist-upgraded it was always a hell and ended up in a complete re-install for the sake of saving time fixing each issue individually.

  27. I've missed somehow this piece of news https://bleedingcool.com/tv/paper-girls-sets-march-2021-for-filming-open-casting-call-released/ I read the Paper Girls comic and it's cool that it gets adapted to a TV show. I'm just worried that it will be as lengthy as the comic. At points the plot was very drawn out. I liked the whole series nonetheless.
