  3. @scribus If I had some hair gel I could make the perfect emo look. Yeah, very awkward.

  4. @scribus they are not that long. The hair at the front is a little bit annoying when it falls into my eyes. They are so long that they reach easily the tip of my nose.

  5. @scribus I hope so too. Maybe I'll go a bit sooner to the coiffeur and cut my hair. I haven't been there for over 7 months and my family is nagging me because of my terrible hair.

  7. @scribus A long time ago there were a few bats. I don't know if there are any now. Even back then they were hard to spot flying in the twilight.

  8. The swallows are flying like crazy these days as the flying ants and other bugs are very active right now. I cannot air my apartment without having some bugs in.

  10. Those enegery drink ads on twitch are toxic. They advertise them as a performance booster for all things related in gaming. Better aim, higher scores...

  11. Friends and I made a game jam game https://hastilyassembled.itch.io/mmc You are a hacker and need to type in codes, however the keyboard is fully randomized. As the time runs out and the codes get longer you will hack like a hacker from a stereotypical hacker movie. This runs in a HTML 5 browser with WebGL support.

  13. In the past the US was deterring Mexicans coming into the country. Now (a part of) Mexico has closed the border to the US halting US citizens from coming to their country. Canada has also closed the border.

  16. Originally I formed a plan to travel to Japan or the USA for my Summer vacation at the end of last year. Lucky me who had not purchased any tickets. A friend of mine wanted to Canada in a few weeks and ordered the tickets long time in advance but has to cancel them with a hefty cancellation fee (he had multiple flights throughout North America).

  19. OMG. Netflix has not fixed the audio of "Drunken Master" for two years. I wanted to see it with the Chinese audio track, however there are a lot of parts which have English for no apparent reason. The FIRST scene has English! I read that an older DVD had the same issue.

  22. @scribus The Hobbit is a short book but it compresses time a lot and a lot and things are not very well told because they come somewhat out of nowhere. 3 movies is a bit much, I can agree that 2 would be very fine.
Reading Inu Yasha to the end was easier than Lord of the Rings. I HATE all those lengthy scenic descriptions in LOTR and my brain fades out too quickly to get past them. LOTR would work a lot better as a comic because those would be held to a brief instance and not minutes and multiple pages. To be frank: Inu Yasha has also big pacing issues. It could have been easily cut in half without losing too much of its substance. Towards the end it got DBZ-like when it comes to stretching the content and delay the inevitable.

  25. @mrmattimation Pretend watching them in the cinema in the 1930s. The old film resolution is somewhat close to 2K resolution. You just need a film grain filter and bad speakers, and maybe an old-timey seat.

  27. Watched "Missing Link" from Laika on streaming. Was a good film. All Laika films suffer from the something for mass appeal on first sight and the right advertisement, but when watched it's a very pleasant experience.

  30. I could kick myself in the ass. The whole week I was trying to 3D print a special holder for a new hotend with a SLA resin printer and was failing at every attempt because of inaccuracies. The first attempt with my FDM printer with PETG was an immediate success. Go figure.
