Everyone do me a favor. If you feel like some people are arguing about something, please keep this fact to yourself. If you must speak up, DM a mod. This community has reached the point where more arguments are caused by screaming "STOP YELLING" into a civil discussion than anything else and I'm tired of it. If discussions get out of hand, a mod will handle it themselves.

Dear children of the internet. I know that growing up with the modern internet and its insidious filtering has lead to you never encountering viewpoints differing from your own, but not every difference of opinions is a "fight" or "argument". Sometimes, they are "Discussions" or "Debates".

Here we go! The #RDNdrawoff is here! To determine the best (and worst) artists here, I'm officially kicking off a weeklong drawing competition, open to all users of RDN. I'll try and keep the rules simple, 3 entries per user, digital and traditional art accepted, deadline will be in one week at noon EST (9am PST, 5pm GMT). Only art that meets the standards for public will be accepted (so no explicit). Entries can either be attached or linked, as long as they are submitted to rdndrawoff@gmail.com on time. I'll take questions/feedback here, or on my email (see profile). The theme is everypony's favoirte Rainbow Dash recolor, Daring Do (anything goes, as long as she's involved somehow), and the prize is a toys-r-us gift card, redeemable for your choice of pony merch (or I hear they sell other stuff, but who buys that?).

@conventrix Ok, time for an impromptu Java coding lesson! System is Java's class (a class is something that holds methods, which I'll explain) for basic functions, such as closing a program and other things. out is System's subclass that handles writing things to the console (that window with the words telling you what happens). println is a method (a set of instructions) telling the machine to write the argument, then go to the next line. The parenthesis hold arguments, which are things you tell the method so it works like you want it to. System.out.println wants a string, which is what is in quotation marks. The semicolon then tells Java you've finished writing the command, so it should either do what you say or die trying! #javafordummies #tldr

@redenchilada unfortunately, I am not so talented as to be able to fill a dash with one thousand characters, but I do say, that is some talent you have there. If I were to even attempt to fill an ENTIRE dash with words and characters, it would probably end up sounding like some rambling piece of rubbish that anyone could find on some two-bit Internet blog that 3 people watch because they are like to laugh at the misery of others or because they think that it is "ironic" and it makes them cool. Really, though, that is some talent you have there, and considering that I am running low on ideas and pacience for myself, I am afraid I will have to cut this horribly long and rather quite pointless dash short. Still though, having less than three hundred characters left is a considerable feet for me, especially considering that I am currently using an iPod touch. Oh, would you look at that, I' am under 1 hundred now. I might as well go on and finish by saying thank you, for driving me to this.
