@colfax I think the difference there is 98% of people who like FIM had no preconceptions of the franchise as a whole. Things like Xiaolin Chronicles and PPG feel like a let-down because of people's attachment to the quality shows that spawned them

@mrmattimation In the Netherlands you are pretty much allowed to do what you want to do, as long as there are at least 2 of the 3 parts bright-alarm-orange. "Muzzle" "slide" "magazine, clip, or feeding mechanism". Also the muzzle should be comically sized... Pretty sure those laws are pretty much universally the same in the western world.

@mrmattimation I was at a costume shop in LA that rented prop guns. They had a sign that said something about needing a license or some kind of proof of legitimate film making or the like in order to rent one. No idea about making your own, though.
