  5. on one hand using AI to replicate actors’ and musicians’ voices is like really weird and shady and isn’t going to end well, but on the other hand, as an internet creator, it seems like a golden opportunity to parody movies that get popular artists to perform marginally related songs for the soundtracks by performing some stupid, tongue-in-cheek blockbuster-style song about Undertale and then using AI to replace my voice with Eminem or something like that.

  6. Trey Parker needs to get his audio situation FIGURED OUT man, he's been recording from home for two years and every episode of South Park still has some kind of issue where his characters sound really, really off.

  7. just tried to figure out who voiced Morshu in the Zelda CDi because I wanted to try to hire him as a guest voice for an episode of Swole Foods. Learned that he sadly passed away last year. :/

  9. I spend so much time complaining about national politicians that I don’t have as much time to profess my belief that literally the entire city council, including the mayor, is comprised of Bond supervillains and every time I hear from them it’s about something cartoonishly evil they’ve done.

  10. (In retrospect, Trump’s first impeachment seems like a pretty big overreaction compared to… to all that stuff that happened afterwards)

  11. I seem to recall saying that impeachment was on a twenty-five year cycle (Trump’s first impeachment was 22 years after Clinton’s impeachment, which was 25 years after the attempted, but ultimately unnecessary impeachment proceedings against Nixon) but now I’m starting to think impeachment’s just gonna be something that happens every couple of years when the president’s party loses congress

  12. @scribus the way I see it - since *my* universe is usually grounded pretty firmly in reality, starting with some really crazy grape off the bat means nothing’s off the table. Futurama’s first season goes from 1999 New York to literally the edge of the universe, so for the entire rest of the show they could go literally anywhere in between.

  16. @scribus it’s probably helped by the fact that I’m planning to do a couple of over-the-top high concept episodes right off the bat so people don’t start telling me I’ve jumped the shark after I do something really out there. “Kat’s new co-worker is a neo-Nazi” is waaaay less over-the-top than “Kat accidentally joins a mafia family after volunteering at an old folks’ home”.

  17. Welp, the “my employee is a neo-Nazi” situation has very rapidly escalated into “we now have to have security on-site during business hours until further notice”

  24. @scribus could tell the guy was getting paid extra to push a particular brand too… he showed me the most expensive one first and was like “this one’s good for snow”, then showed me a seemingly identical one from another brand and was like “this one’s ok too, I guess… it’s made for all weather conditions… but it’s really not as good, I wouldn’t even bother”

  26. i'm not a big fan of anime, i mostly think it's a bunch of vapid garbage, but today a friend introduced me to high school dxd, which i would say i can't believe got aired on tv on account of the fact that it's basically softcore pornography, but then i remember that softcore pornography accounts for about 99% of tv nowadays, it's probably tamer than euphoria or sex education or whatever the FrankerZ they're airing on Paramount+, the difference between this show and all of those other ones is that the English dub bets all of its chips on snappy comedy and cool fight scenes instead of giving me a melodramatic plot line about Zendaya getting her third abortion. there's a scene in one episode where a character's nipples turn into a gun like an Austin Powers gag. it's unreal how much this show made me laugh. more funny english dubs please.

  29. This is what really ticks me off, people were told over and over again before the election that he was gonna do some radical bs, then people said we were being over-dramatic and elected him, and then he got into office and now he’s doing everything we said he would and a bunch of well-off suburban whites suddenly are on twitter saying he’s the worst Governor we ever had. Didn’t we just go through that exact thing with Trump? What percentage of Americans has dementia? Because in Virginia, it seems to be 50.6%.
