  1. @scribus Big mood. Bigger when I calculate the years I need to pay it off.

  2. I'm looking at some houses for purchase because my current living condition has not a very good outlook because of my *neighbours* below me. Oh man... They are so expensive. Most of them are 450000€ or above. There is one house that is in a good area and slightly cheaper than the average, however it needs a ton of work.

  3. The good: I know my CNC machine can engrave aluminium when I keep my speeds low.
The bad: I destroyed an engraving toolhead by ramming it with full force into the material.

  4. The first time in 4 weeks I had "normal" "sleep".

  5. @scribus Maybe a less threatening phrase helps: "conclude your current operations."

  6. I was disassembling my old-ass Logitech MX518 because my mouse wheel was behaving strangely. The reason was over 15 years of skin grease, dead skin cells, and hair. YUMMY.

  7. I always get annoyed by cashiers behind the clear plastic wall for not wearing a mask or wearing it wrong. And sometimes I see an employee filling the shelves not wearing one either.

  8. @scribus As all teenagers are. Puppets of their parent overlords.

  9. @scribus Yeah. It's filmed somewhat competently and people want to see a puppy killer die. The worst "action" scene I've ever watched was the ending of The Hunger Games in cinema with my friends.

  10. Watching John Wick for the first time and I'm wondering what other see in that film to say it's great. It's pure gun porn.

  11. I really like the comic "Fire Power". Chris Samnee's art is just great and works great with silent pages and lots of action *chef's kiss*.

  12. I'm somewhat relieved reading news. This year selling fireworks is forbidden in my city (igniting them is not). Every year it's a nuisance seeing all the garbage on the streets rotting away for months as well as smelling all that sulfur for days after New Year's. Yeah... I'm a party pooper in this regard but all the other people poop on me with their inability to pick up trash.

  13. @scribus Is it the same song as SEAGULLS! (Stop it Now), the bad lip-reading song of Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back?

  14. I've replaced 20 LED bulbs as the short of my previous ones was scary. Because of a voltage transformer inside the old ones and the usage of a electrolytic capacitor in that transformer AND it being cooked inside the metal casing the capacitor leaked and corroded all contacts extremely and the transformer shorted out. I had to replace the whole lamp because the contacts became unusable. Now I have over a dozen working and yet stupidly constructed LED bulbs. Good for emergencies but too bad for everyday use.

  16. @scribus Double up and get an "Elegoo Mars" as it has proven its worth.

  17. @scribus It's cool that there is a cheap solution but I rather pay triple that for a proper one with a bigger volume and higher resolution.

  18. @mrmattimation Pinky and the Brain operate from a well-established formula and it s not very surprising that their segment is the more consistent one. I still agree that they were mostly the better part of the show.

  19. I think it was a bad idea mixing all my different kinds of teas. It's the weirdest blend of tastes.

  20. @scribus I just watched all the 13 episodes. It's good. Not overwhelmingly good. Good good. Some jokes and segments were not to my own taste but the rest was good 'ol fun.

  24. Oh boy. I search for a new laser printer for my parents as theirs refuse to cooperate. The exact model I own is now about 100€ more expensive than I bought it over a year ago. WTF.

  28. @scribus I have absolutely no idea what I've exactly bought with it. It's fricking 17 years ago haha. I didn't have much fun collecting money like a numismatic. Videogames are my jam since my parents bought a C64 and sold it, and got IBM(-compatible) machines. As for the game I bought it could have been anything. I'm only sure that's still in my possession and probably a PC game. Outcast, You don't know Jack, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Airline Tycoon, Civilization Call To Power...

  29. @thismightbeauser There are different images on the back of the coins. Each country has a different set of images on their coins. When the Euro was introduced to the public in 2002 a lot of people tried to collect all the different coins. I had almost a complete set but I was fed up and used the money to buy a game at the flea-market.

  30. Prepared the calendar for printout. My mother still uses a physical calendar for everything. She wants a month view with as big boxes for each day as possible to write in. Also Monday as the first day, and Saturday and Sunday in red. All commercial calendars do not support her needs. Luckily this exists https://texample.net/tikz/examples/birthday-calendar/ With some adjustments I could customize it enough to make her happy.
