Anypony out there with a BlackBerry know of a decent StatusNet client for the OS? (That works on a Curve 8520 specifically) gonna be without my htc Desire Z for a week or so, and I would rather not have to use its clunky murdock web browser just to post to RDN when I'm out and about. !techponies

Managed to get my Desire Z's screen to turn on...at last. I daren't turn it off again though. When I get home tomorrow I'm calling htc to get it repaired like I said. Still, I don't miss having to use that BlackBerry, especially when posting to RDN on that clunky apples web browser. !techponies

Here's me thinking I'd escaped this phone for good, I'm back to using the BlackBerry Curve 8520 as my primary smart phone (using it to type this post as I don't know of any StatusNet clients for BlackBerries) as much as I hate this phone for how slow its internet speeds are (2G/Edge) the small as all hell keyboard among other things, my htc Desire Z no longer seems to want to work, pressing the standby button and the screen no longer seems to want to turn on 9/10 times) got to send it back to htc when I can to get it fixed...again. Then I think I'm going to sell it and get a better phone. Third time lucky, I hope... !techponies

Tweeting from my cousin's Samsung Galaxy SII...I am so jealous of this phone that i's unreal x.x I wish I hadn't been so fixated with having a physical keyboard on my phone when I changed from my BlackBerry Curve 8520. This phone is hella easy to type on with just a touch screen, has a far superior design than my htc Desire Z and it runs a LOT smoother. So yeah, jealousy levels rising... !androidbronies !techponies

!tes !vgp Does anyone else remember #Morrowind? And how there were only, like, three NPCs that the game considered to be "essential"; how, even though they were essential, the game would still let you kill them, and it would just give you a message saying "hey, that guy was really important, you might want to load an old save if you want to actually finish the main quest"; how it would let you keep playing even after killing them, and how there were still other ways to finish the main quest without them? Wasn't that just the most amazing thing ever, not to mention really fantastic game design? || In other news, I'm kind of annoyed with #Skyrim at the moment. Can't imagine why.

@puzzlemint Clicking my recently used #Morrowind tag, I saw this post. And I have to agree with you. Morrowind is best !TES game. Skyrim is good, but nowhere near Morrowind.

9/10 times when I try to get my htc Desire Z out of standby I only get the buttons to light up on my phone. Problem after problem with this phone.. (And factory resetting didn't help at all, already tried it) !androidbronies !techponies

Oh dear lord, when my phone shakes one irritating habit (touch screen locking up) the damn thing finds itself another one to use to get on my nerves, something awful I might add. Basically, I hit the power button to turn it on/get it out of standby, and the capactive buttons underneath the screen light up...but sweet candy coated bugger all appears on screen, and it can go on for several minutes at a time. Are these constant issues all Android related, or is it just me being unlucky with this htc Desire Z? -_- !techponies !androidbronies

@tenmihara Ah, figures. I always make my worlds Large. Don't want to be restricted by the size of the map. It's also rather funny, because nowadays I can just go get a voodoo doll, make a new world, dig down to hell and kill the WoF in minutes. While not too long ago that was far from within my abilities' limits.

!terraria As well, there will be bonuses for players who managed to face certain challenges and survive. Being the first to reach the underworld, beating a boss, reaching the horizontal edges of the map, for examples.

!terraria Okay, now that I have 6 participants (I was looking for 6-8), we can start coordinating when we're gonna hold the event(s). I was planning on running it in two hour sessions (the equivalent of 5 in game days), and just need to nail down times when all the players can be on at the same time. As well, I've got some details about the prizes. Since this is a survival contest, the longer it goes on, the bigger the prize will be. However, just standing around will not be acceptable, and we must actively move forward within the game. The contest will end either when the last player is left standing, or (if more than one player is still alive by the time it comes up) The Wall of Flesh boss is defeated.

!terraria Hey everypony. I, Ten Mihara, am looking to organize a group event for fun. The details of this event are simple enough; we will are create new Hardcore characters in a new world, and work together to survive, while at the same time seeing who can last the longest without dying. The more players we have, the better our odds of surviving as a group are. There will be a prize(s) for the person who survives the longest while we progress through the game. The ultimate objective will be to complete all the major challenges of the game prior to the 1.1 hard mode patch (beating the 3 bosses, reaching the underworld, etc). If someone dies, their dropped gear will be distributed fairly amongst the remaining players so as to keep the group going. The last person surviving will be entitled to all the stuff dropped by previously deceased players, plus the prize at the end. If you wish to participate or have questions, send me a dash marked with the terraria group tag.

!techponies Thinking of picking up a small (60-80GB) SSD to run a couple games off of. That, combined with the reasonable amount of storage space on my two remaining slooooooooow HDDs should tide me over until I can afford something with a little more breathing room. || Never had an SSD before, and it looks like my usual hard drive tactic of "get a WD/Seagate" isn't going to work very well. Anypony have any recommendations, or advice on what to look for? || Do keep in mind that I'm a starving college student, so budget is a big issue; also, I'm Canadian, so I'd prefer something from NCIX or DirectCanada; newegg.ca and tigerdirect.ca are also acceptable.

My new 32gb Micro SD card arrived yesterday (old one fell out of my phone after said phone fell off my desk, and due to their incredibly small size finding it has been nothing short of impossible) and I've been working on rebuilding my music, video etc libraries, starting with all the FiM episodes. I'm downloading them via TubeMate (Unofficial YouTube Downloader app for Android, need to download it from the browser) and it's taking quite some time. I would just torrent them all, but I torrented them all in good quality and they lagged on my phone big time, downloading them through TubeMate to ensure that doesn't happen, even if it does take longer. !techponies !androidbronies
