I'm posting this to the coderponies group because it's kinda sorta tangenially related and gives the post some publicity for those interested.
Anyone want a copy of Multimedia Fusion 2? I got one in a weekly humble bundle and I used to use it a lot, but I don't any more and I only wanted the games from the bundle. (MMF2 is a program for drag-and-drop game creation. A pretty fun way to ease into the ideas of game development without the barrier of learning to actually program getting in your way.)Friday, 06-Dec-13 02:37:06 UTC from web-
@oracle The lack of an optical drive on the Retina is disturbing.
-
@randomwondervulpix Yeah. The serial's good for as many installs as you want. (The only catch is they blacklist it from updates if they find it being sent around as a pirate serial. And y'know, you're not gonna do that... right?)
-
@randomwondervulpix Sure! That's what I did with the copy of TGF2 I got when I was fourteen!

@snowcone mine goes for longer.

Would any of you guys be interested in an option to hide all posts belonging to a particular conversation? Or all replies to a particular post, recursively? Because I know there are sometimes conversations going on that some people don't like (regardless of whether they break any rules) and some people might like to have that option. !rdndev !coderponies

#RDNStream Y'know how the videosync player is all the way at the top of the page, and there's a fair bit of stuff between it and the timeline? Does that seem inconvenient to you? I have a solution for you!
Monday, 18-Nov-13 04:12:43 UTC from web-
@redenchilada NICE!
-
@redenchilada You know what I'd like to see? A script similar to this, only with your replies/personal timeline in the second panel.
-
@mrmattimation That'd need a userscript in addition. Doing it with the videosync was easy-peasy because that's just some CSS rules, while adding another timeline needs some AJAX loading of other page. I could probably do it though, at some point.

@critialcloudkicker So do I. I mean, it's fun to program and such *anyway*, but it'd be nice to be employed, and even nicer if it was in that.
-
@bitshift Hmm, I was thinking about a job in programming from the get-go

The latest in dumb useless userscripts: something to keep notice timestamps updated. Now it'll say how long ago a notice was /actually posted/ instead of a wall of "a few seconds ago"s like you'd get after a while of realtime notices! http://scootaloo.srb2.org/junk/updatetimestamps.user.js !coderpony

@redenchilada No, I never have installed a userscript before. I joined in on the jokes because I knew what it was symbolizing. I hadn't installed the Twitch userscript either.

@broniebrown Cocoa is a sophisticated closed proprietary technology with unknown integration with other components of OS X. I can't imagine how hard would be to reverseengineer it or just put into simulated environment.

I need to know why the floating point (double) precision of my Atom N270 is almost perfect around values of 0. I tested 7 different systems and the others are worse. If I restructure my test such that no optimization is possible (separating the computation in different volatile variables) then it is as bad as the others. !coderponies

@broniebrown I remember a sort algorithm that's O log(n) but I don't remember that. Maybe Google knows?
-
@pony No sort algorithm I know works in O(log(n)). There are that work in O(n*log(n)). You mean the search algorithm that only works with sorted arrays.
-
@broniebrown maybe.. Like I said. it's been a while. I'm thinking of one that sorts first by the number of digits in the relative integer value of an object then sorts by the digit values themselves.

If you often flash your !Android device, put all the .apk installers of apps you use often in one directory and execute "find -maxdepth 1 -name "*.apk" -exec pm install {} \;" using the adb shell (or a terminal emulator on the phone) in the same directory. Seeing how Google Play doesn't always restore installed applications, this makes it easy to always restore the apps you use most (like a keyboard, for example) easily. !android !androidponies !coderponies
