RT @snowcone #headcanon Vinyl Scratch started out blank-flanked and on the streets looking for food and shelter at a very young age (Because old blank flanks exist), when she suddenly heard the most amazing sound, in her opinion, that she has ever heard in her life. She followed the sound into a club to see a colt DJ'ing. She sat there staring until everyone had left, before slowly walking up and trying to DJ herself. It took her an hour to figure it all out, and the manager and so forth let her be thinking it was cute. However, after the hour of learning, she paused and thought of a rythm she'd like to hear. After thinking of it, she played it, as if it was completely natural. The manager stared in shock, not because of the quality of the work, but because of the riot outside of people rushing into the club. Vinyl was then offered her first job, and told she could use the club as her home whenever she wanted

#headcanon .. Starswirl's spell changed the past to something that wouldn't have occurred naturally, and because it wasn't natural it created the problems we saw before friendship corrected the problem. This is supported by the fact that Starswirl's wing in the Canterlot library contained spells of a timey-wimey nature. #s3e13
