Just had a English customer ask where salad cream was. I, the self-proclaimed British expert after a two week stay there, thought that was a weird English word for salad dressing and took him to that section. But no. Salad cream is actually a real thing, we don’t have it in the US, but it’s very similar to mayonnaise. So today I learned that the British put mayonnaise on their salads. What the grape, Britain?

Although tbf the whole reason I need the discount is because I’m teaching myself Storyboard Pro ($65 without the student discount; $7 with it) so I can go for a job opportunity in the United Kingdom, so, you know, this student discount might be what makes it harder to get the student discount.

Re-upped all of my animation programs with an old email account I had from community college that I never lost access to, therefore qualifying for the much cheaper student pricing. Don’t be a snitch, ‘kay?

…in hindsight, abandoning the evil one seems like exactly the thing you shouldn’t do, but I can’t be expected to keep toxic people around in my life because I’m afraid they might hurt themselves or a few billion others without me to lean on.

Well, only two of them are wandering, technically. One of them - Francis’ immediate successor - lives with me in my uncomfortably small English home and shares a bed with me because it reminds me of something that would happen in a Dr. Seuss children’s book and it makes me laugh every time it happens.

Next clone was struck by lightning almost immediately upon arriving home. Didn’t die, but they definitely have some kind of hidden “unlucky” flag or something that’s causing this.

Semi-official documentation on some of these features for the older expansions is shockingly sparse and in some cases even incorrect (outdated, maybe) which isn't helping

Today in The Sims 4: Cloned myself. Twice. First clone was evil (ie a bit of a prick) so I abandoned him on the street. Second clone was a perfect copy, but he died in a freak accident literal hours after being created. I think I shouldn’t clone myself anymore.

I drive past the NRA headquarters every day on my way to work (yes, they are a DC company…) and, like, not that I think anyone should do it, but how funny would it be if that place got shot up? Like that’d at least be a little funny, right?
