@ellistia Yeah, I'm going to a career college for audio engineering and a large portion of my curriculum deals with professions in the music industry, so I can certainly sympathize with the prospect of having to reconcile your passion with potentially stable employment. I myself am still not entirely sure what I'm going to end up doing when I graduate, but I'll hopefully fall into something I can enjoy doing. I guess maybe your best bet is to shoot for graphic design and continue your art on the side and see if you can work your way from there. The stress is sadly another issue entirely though, and one that is really difficult to provide any simple answers too (especially since recently I myself have been very stressed trying to balance all of my coursework with my current job).

@northernnarwhal Yeah, hoping that whatever I end up getting gives me leeway to keep arting. Stress nearly cost me my degree on more than one occassion (basically telling myself to give up, etc.) so it's probably going to be something I just have to deal with whatever happens.

@ellistia Yeah, in a lot of cases stress is sort of unavoidable, I think for me the joy when I'm actually still able to finish everything in spite of my stress or just having an artistic outlet to put my stress into is what really keeps me going.

@scribus Gen 5 is when I gave up on Pokemon for a while. Just got tired of the grinding and how many eggs I had to hatch to stay competitive with my friends.

@tonyyotes @scribus due to my work, pokemon does not really go out of sytle, ever ( neither do cartoons, if I am lucky they involve colourfull equines, yay.flac ). But due to the nature of most autists I would be either WAY under- or over-"grinded". And due to the gamesindustry now releasing games in a record pace, I did not even need to finish pre-grind (up till elite 4) of "X" nor "Omega Ruby". Such a waste, almost makes me sad. Then I found out that one of my clients was cheating his butt off. Now that kinda did me in. " What is your favorite pokemon ?" He asked. And next day he would give me one... And then he'd kick my 1^8 IP dreamteam with his 32^8 IP beedrill attack squad. *rolleyes*

My main regret with the game was not playing it completely blind. I assume it was sometime in my break from it that I started watching speedruns. I suppose it would make sense that finally seeing where I needed to go next made me want to get back to playing it.

@ellistia I played it mostly blind, but I did use an online guide to figure out how to get into the DLC world.

Got my Bloodborne platinum. Took around 70 hours of play time I think. Seems like a bit of an easy one, but my first ever platinum nonetheless.

@ellistia Around the time I got Dark Souls I wasn't really that into it, but then I gave it another shot shortly after and got really into it. I can't remember the last time I've been so immensely consumed by a video game, Dark Souls was so utterly gripping for me that I felt compelled to try several new paths and characters.

@northernnarwhal Funny, that was almost exactly the same for me. I played up until some point between Gargoyles and Quelaag I think, then kind of got bored (it might have been because I actually got stuck and couldn't find where to go, can't really remember though) and didn't play for a few months. Then when I went back I played through to the end, and then some more after that, and eventually was just like "wow, this is one of my favourite games ever".

@ellistia Yeah, I was having a really lousy time around Blighttown and put the game away for a bit, then picked up back up again and finished the whole thing in a few days. Dark Souls works on a very slow burn, but it's unbelievably rewarding if you have the patience for it. Through playing it over time it went from a game I wasn't that into to one of my favourite games of all time.
